At Brooks Global Studies, we prepare students to become active, knowledgeable participants in a global society. Our studies lead them to understand how their actions as individuals impact the larger community of their classroom and the school, just as the actions of a single country affects the world. Our children learn to genuinely respect and accept the differences that make people and their cultures unique.

Student Council News
Canned Food Drive for Blessed Table
Monday, Nov 7th- Tuesday, Nov 22nd.
The canned items will be donated to the Blessed Table as in previous years.
The Canned Food Drive, the Turkey Trot, and the Book Fair are joining up as a team!
For every 10 people (parents, family members, adults) that go to the book fair for your class, you get to move your classes football 10 yards closer to the goal line!
For every 10 pounds of canned food items brought in, your classes football will also move down 10 yards closer to the goal line!
The more food items you bring in the more times your classes names get entered into the raffle for the Turkey Trot.
Please collect food items in your classroom.
.
The Giving Tree will be up from Dec 5th - Dec 21st.
We are collecting new hats, mittens, and scarves for an elementary school.

BOOK EXCHANGE
Volunteers needed for Brooks Book Exchange!
Please arrive at 7:35 to set up as the students arrive.
For each book brought in, give the student a card. They will return the card once they find a book they want. There is no limit on the number of books they can bring in. We ask that they are not board or activity books. Be sure to check for library books as well!
Start loading the cart when the 7:55bell rings and remind the children to hurry so they won't be tardy for class.  You can reach me by cell/text at 336-493-1661.
It will be helpful if you can sign up for the same time each month if you can.  Thank you in advance!  I will be there most mornings as well.
